FAT PAPAYA is not your typical Indian joint.

After years of working in hotels and restaurant’s we decided to take a plunge into opening our own little place. Having been through a large list of eateries, Indian and non-Indian, good as well as bad, we decided on Indian. Indian that would stand out and which would not go down to a list of just another curry house.

This is how Fat Papaya was born… A Neo Indian Cuisine, “Neo” here meaning “the one” as well as “new”. New Indian cuisine is what we set out to create – Fun, Familiar but innovative, we are here to surprise both your taste buds and your eyes. While we will turn your experience into romance with food, we believe in a service that is less intrusive and more sociable.

That’s what Fat Papaya is - A hip, cozy spot in the heart of Wembley Central, Fat Papaya is the perfect place whether it is family outing, a casual dinner, a weekend date or business meeting in fun place. We have created a fun ambiance through our walls and our music that will put a smile to your face whether you are alone or sharing a table.

Sudhakar Balakrishnan

Sudhakar started his journey in hospitality in Taj Hotels - India. From there he worked in several chains like Taj, Le Meridian, Hilton, Park Plaza holding various positions in Food and Beverage.

Sudhakar manages the restaurant and catering operations. With over 20 years of experience in food & beverage industry, Sudhakar leads the vibrant and innovative team at Fat Papaya. Whether it is a simple query of table timings or going over intricate detail of wedding, birthday party or function, Sudhakar would be delighted to assist.

 

 

Selvaraj Seenuvasan

Selva has a real eye for detail, anyone who has eaten at Fat Papaya previously will tell you that his presentation is awesome and out of the ordinary and taste of food beats that. Selva carries over 15 years of culinary experience and worked with a number of hotels like Thistle, Hilton, Foxhills won several accolades including Best Chef award and 2 Rosette's.

A few years back he achieved the goal of becoming Executive Head Chef with Hilton Hotels and having fulfilled that ambition he decided to step into creating a something unique at Fat Papaya.

At Fat Papaya you will see him on the floor from time to time interacting with our guests and guiding them through the menu or simply getting their thoughts to improvise and put it on the plate
